Maithreyi’s global journey began in India, discovering every facet of the country’s diverse culture with civil service parents who were always on the move. A third-generation journalist, she built a career based on her family’s belief in the power of words to build trust. She's tracked money trails of 9/11 terrorists in Australia, helped set up CNBC in India, hosted prime time shows for Bloomberg Television and CNBC Europe, created Euronews’ economic show, launched its Middle East bureau and collected two Master’s degrees along the way. As Director of Live Media Content for Fortune, she curated the Fortune Global 500 C-suite's strategic discussions towards the goal of a sustainable future. Her experience as an immigrant, entrepreneur, and woman of color fostered a passion for advancing the role of women in global leadership, which she channeled into her work as Co-Chair of Fortune Most Powerful Women International. Now, in addition to running Facultas Media based in London, she writes the global newsletter The Chief Brief and is thrilled to bring her worldwide perspective toward making this a truly inclusive JOURNEY.
